GetHide

For screen sharing on Mac

Share your screen. Keep the private stuff yours.

GetHide hides the apps you choose from your screen share. Messengers, mail and notes stay right where they are for you, while people on the call see only what they should.

How it works

Three steps to worry-free sharing

  1. Sign in with Telegram

Confirm your Mac in our bot — no passwords, no sign-up forms. Your 48-hour free trial starts right away.

  2. Pick what to hide

Choose the apps that must stay out of the share: messengers, mail, notes, anything.

  3. Share through GetHide

In Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or any other app, pick GetHide Output from the list of screens to share.

Why GetHide

You work as usual. Viewers see only what they should.

Everything happens on your Mac

The shared picture is composed locally. GetHide servers only check your subscription and never receive images of your screen.

Failures fail safe

If protection stops for any reason, viewers see a black screen — not your desktop.

You still see everything

Hidden apps stay on your screen. Reply in a chat or glance at your notes while you're sharing.

Works offline

Once activated, GetHide doesn't need the network: access keeps working for up to 14 days without reaching our server.

Good to know: in the call, share GetHide Output. If you pick your regular display instead, nothing is hidden and viewers will see everything open on it.

FAQ

The short version

Can viewers really not see the hidden apps?

The apps you pick never make it into the share — neither their windows nor their contents. Just make sure the call shares GetHide Output, not your regular display.

Which calling apps does it work with?

Any app that lets you choose which screen to share: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and more. GetHide Output shows up in the list of screens to share — pick that one.

Why does GetHide need macOS permissions?

Screen Recording lets it compose the picture you share, and Accessibility lets it know where windows are. The picture goes nowhere else — only to the calling app you chose.

Why do I have to click “Open Anyway” the first time?

GetHide is distributed directly, not through the App Store, so macOS asks you to confirm it once: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. After that it opens like any other app.

Why Telegram?

It's sign-in without a password or email: you confirm your Mac in @gethideapp_bot. The bot lets you know when access ends and helps you disconnect an old Mac. We only store your numeric Telegram ID.

What happens when my access ends?

Hiding through GetHide pauses until you renew. Your settings are kept, so everything works as before once you pay.

Can I get a refund?

You get 48 free hours to try everything first, so payments are usually non-refundable. But if GetHide doesn't work on your Mac and support couldn't fix it, we'll refund you on request within 14 days of payment. See the terms of use for details.

How do I contact support?

Email support@gethide.app — we answer in English or Russian.
