Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the GetHide app for macOS and its Telegram bot @gethideapp_bot (together, the “service”). The service is provided by the GetHide service (operated by a private individual), contact: support@gethide.app (“we”). By installing the app, connecting a Mac or paying for a subscription, you agree to these terms.

1. What GetHide does

GetHide hides the apps you select from your screen share. Hiding works when you choose GetHide Output to share in your calling app: if you share your regular display, viewers will see everything open on it. You decide what to share.

2. Account and devices

Access is tied to your Telegram account. You can connect your own Macs to one account and disconnect them with the /devices command. You may not share or resell access to other people.

3. Free trial

Each Telegram account gets one free 48-hour trial. It starts when you first confirm a Mac connection in the bot.

4. Subscription and payment

Paid access is purchased in the app for 1, 6 or 12 months. Current prices are shown at gethide.app and on the checkout page. Payments are processed by lava.top in US dollars, euros or rubles; lava.top's terms apply to the payment itself. Paid time is added to any remaining access: if a trial or subscription is still running, the new period starts when it ends.

Payments are one-time: subscriptions don't renew automatically and you are never charged again without your action. When your time runs out, the bot lets you know, and you can renew in the app.

5. Refunds

A free trial is available before you buy, so payments are generally non-refundable. The exception is a technical failure: if GetHide doesn't work on your Mac, you confirm this in your request (what exactly doesn't work, your Mac model and macOS version), and support couldn't resolve it, we'll refund the full amount of your latest payment. You can request such a refund within 14 days of the payment date. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through lava.top; how long they take to arrive depends on your bank or payment provider.

To request a refund, email support@gethide.app with the payment date, your receipt email and your Telegram ID. Once refunded, the paid period is cancelled.

6. Offline use and updates

Once activated, the app works without the internet for up to 14 days, after which it needs to reach our server to check access. We release updates to stay compatible with new macOS versions and calling apps, but we can't guarantee that every program and configuration will work.

7. Acceptable use

You may not bypass subscription checks, modify the app to get free access, overload the server with automated requests or use the service to break the law. We may suspend access for such violations. If a case is unclear, we'll contact you through the bot first.

8. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep hidden apps out of what you share, but we are not responsible for the consequences of sharing your regular display, choosing the wrong screen in a calling app, or failures of macOS and third-party software. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version is published on this page, and we'll announce significant changes through the bot. Time you have already paid for stays valid.
